So, lately I've been trying to focus a little more on living greener, and I stumbled across some recipes that I thought I'd share with everyone. There's one for sunblock and just a general lotion. I've made both and LOVE them. Kelt just spent the whole afternoon out at Sand Hollow and said the sunblock worked great! Anyway, here's the links:

for the lotion...

I'm really enthusiastic about these because, as we know, lotions are full of refined and carcenogenic ingredients. And I recently heard that some of the chemicals used in commercial sunscreens will do your body more harm than plain sunlight. I ordered the products they reccomended since they seemed to be of average price for that market, and everything came really quickly.
Anyhow, hope everyone is having a happy summer!

Hansen Family Market
So, I'm sure some of you remember this:
I however, remember it more like this:
anyway, here it is now!
We made ourselves a little market! I used mdf for a shelf and dowels for the canopy. I also replaced the bins with clear ones because I wanted it to have a clean look...
I mod podge'd this wood grain on the top of the counter for a little added durability. (Also, the conveyor belt, calculator, microphone, and scale on this little register actually work!)
The money that came with the register was crummy and there were only about four bills, so I printed 'em a fat stack!
I also upcycled some containers, made some neat labels, and then mod podge'd the hell out of everything!
It was SUCH a fun project, and pretty cheap, too!

Last New House...I SWEAR!
I'm beat...but here's some pictures from the mostly finished new house...
entryway
fianly, a safe place for our vacation jars!
living room and kitchen
kid's bathroom
Natalie's room...
Drake's room...

Lydia's room
master...
master tile walk-in shower, and my sink...
jetted tub and Kelt's sink...
closet
and a pantry in the kitchen
we started digging up the pea gravel and dirt in between the flagstone and planting moss...
we LOVE how it's turning out! We'll be expanding the flagstone to make a more sizeable sitting area.
and last, but not least, we planted a peach tree...nothing better than fruit warm from the sun!
the rest of the backyard
we LOVE this house! It feels like it was built just for us!
