A Birthday, A Hike, & Some Snow

I turned 22 again this year! I'm starting to lose count of how many times I've done this...

 On New Years day, we went for a little hike with Robert, Kaley, and all the kids to see the Gunlock Resevoir overflow...

a fun hike, but it was a little chilly... only 27 degrees out there!

Today we took a little drive up to Parowan, where the kids built a snowman...

there was lots of snow and icicles, and plenty of snow angels!



Christmas 2010!

It seems every year we say "this was the best Christmas so far"... I think it's because we become a greater, more amazing family every day...

Santa came!

Drake was a little irritated to be up so early... when we asked him if he wanted to open a present he gave us this face and said "I want to watch a show"!  

he came around pretty quick, though!

"there is a Santa, and he loves me!"

Natalie got her scooter, and Drake got his bike.  They also got their Play-Doh, and pretty much doubled their toy inventory!  What a merry Christmas it was!

Today was Natalie's "Polar Express" parade, where all the kindergartners wear a box decorated like a train car.  We chose to do the Polar Express passenger car...

A Hair-Tut and a Christmas Tree!

What a great day we had!  First, Drake got a long over due haircut, which he calls a "hair tut"...

Halloween 2010!

This was probably our best Halloween so far...

Quote Catch-Up

I wanted to get a few of the hilarious things my kids say on record...

• "Drake is ecknoring me!" (ignoring).
• "Sa-yal away!" Drake was a big fan of this around his pirate themed birthday this year.
• "Dad, let's go, dad" or "Mom, can I have a snack, mom?" Drake begins and ends each sentence by naming the person he's speaking to.
• "You are MEAN!" Drake started this infamous phrase, and now every kid on the block is saying it. I've considered going for the copyright.
• While driving past a field of cattle, we asked what the cow says. Natalie promptly replied "MOOO! GIVE ME FOOD!".
• Drake gets angry and yells "I don't want you!".

Park City!

This weekend, Kelton and I went up to Park City for an Army Conference/Ball.  We stayed at The Chateaux (thanks, Uncle Sam!), rode the Alpine Slide, had some awesome meals, and had such a great time being with each other!
